Chromecast With Linux Mint
Today I purchased a Google Chromecast and successfully used Linux Mint to set it up. Obviously one must have the chrome browser installed, but it works really well. Chrome does warn you that your OS may not be supported, but gives you the option to try anyway. Setup was simple and I was "Chrome Casting" within minutes. At one point my Minted Macbook even had to connect to the Chromecast device via wifi. It did so without a complaint. Google has made the switch from Mac to Linux a much easier process, and it's always nice to bring home a new gadget that plays nice with my new OS.
