My morning routine went as it always does. I woke up and showered, dressed, made the bed, prepared lunches for my family, and sat down at my computer to read a little news and eat a bowl of cereal. It was normal. It was like it had always been. Only one thing was different, my computer was running Linux.
I know it's ridiculous that I should make such a big deal out of this, but the truth is for the Linux OS to fit so nice and snug into my morning routine is quite amazing. It shows that Linux may have finally arrived as a real alternative for desktop computing. I barely noticed I wasn't on Windows or OS X. In fact the OS didn't even matter to me. I was online and I was reading like I do every morning.
That's good stuff. Kudos to the Linux Mint team on their amazing operating system. Sure, there are still a few creases to iron out, but it's exciting to know options like these are out there for people like me.
